Right now it’s a frigid 12 degrees in Minneapolis so how about a picture of one of the hottest places on earth – summer in New York City.

East Village Rain

I haven’t been back to New York as much as I would have liked since moving to Minneapolis in February. This picture is a few blocks from our old apartment on First Avenue in the East Village. Right across the street is one of the best pizza places in the country called Luzzo’s. I’d say Punch Pizza here in the Twin Cities is the closest rival to it.

Recently our meetings have been shifting to Utah and Chicago instead of New York so I don’t think I’ll be in NYC before 2013 (sorry Lora). That’s OK though, I know lots of you guys will like this, I’ve got a lot of archived photos here that I can post until I get out there again for a refresh.

Long Exposures Of NYC Taxi Cabs

When I travel to NYC for work I try to stay at the ACE Hotel on Broadway and 28th. There’s a ton of things that I like about this hotel but one of the best is the large windows that open all the way. This lets me stick my head out the window and take shots like this. Sweaty palms included.
