Part of the mural at 29th St. 17th Ave S. this piece was done as a collaboration between Jordan Hamilton and the Hope Community & Waite House C.C and is part of a larger project that involves youth creating imagery throughout the city.

East Phillips Mural On E 29th Street

East Phillips

Since being back in Minneapolis I’ve been exploring more and more of the city as the weather gets warmer. This week I broke out my bike and biked to coffee shops to work. On my way to Peace Coffee I made a detour for Manny’s Tortas on Lake Street. When I got off the Greenway I found this awesome mural on the back of a nondescript building on 29th street.

Congratulations Will & Kate

Congratulations

I’ve been reading about this mural on Houston & Avenue B for a couple days now. It’s created by a local artist named Chico to say congrats to Prince William and and his lady Kate. So after work yesterday I hoofed it over to check it out. It’s actually pretty cool. It’s gonna be up for the next three weeks, if you’re looking to see it up close and personal. Also, I didn’t know people sponsored these sorts of things but, Harlem-based liquor depot, Branson B. Champagne, has sponsored it.
